Hey guys it's your boy
Hello, I am Jordan Cerrone. I'm currently in the Nursing program, but it's pretty hard work. I enjoy skatebaording, ukulele, clothing and video games. At the moment, I don't have a camera so I'm using my phone, but I would like to get a Canon. Here's me:
=> Pontificate about Photography
To be perfectly frank, I strive to take pictures that require as few edits as possible, and from last week's photos, there were sixteen I really liked, and four that I went on with from them.
My first photo from the ones I really liked was of this pineapple ornament, and what drew me to it was the dark coloration on the bottom of the pineapple, in how it sharply contrasts its plinth, while gradually giving in to the original light color as you look up the fruit. the bottom of the door off to the side may grab the eye, but it is evidently not the most important part of the photo thanks to the slight blurring.
This second photo is of an air hole on the Danbury WIC center, what used to be the local jail. This hole was essentially the only way prisoners could breathe in these isolated cells, and this photo exudes that bleak feeling thanks to the muted reds and intense grays.
This third picture was taken at the United Methodist Church of Danbury, and what drew me to this particular lamp was not the lamp itself, but the shadow that falls on the wall of the chapel, in how it, itself, looks like a chapel. The bulb creates the front wall, while the various beams create window frames and the front steps.
This last photo was taken at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, across the street from the previous photo, in fact. The concrete of the bench has small pieces of gravel exposed, creating the bright spots along the bridge of the lion's nose, his mane regal as he holds up guests at the church.

Introducing me, Samantha Kerster
Hi, my name is Samantha Kerster. This is my first year at Naugatuck Valley and my first time taking a photography class. My major is Business Marketing and I hope to be in the Fashion Marketing field in the future. I've always found ways to get inspired through art whether it was photography, fashion, landscape, or the places I'm surrounded by. I've always had a passion for taking photos to capture my favorite moments in life. For this photography class I will be using a Nikon Coolpix L830, and I am looking forward to learn about Photoshop, and how to use different settings on my camera to create a more interesting picture.
